Then I saw this tweet and thought, ok, I could not possibly agree with these statements any more.

From personal experience, in which I had an Android device first and then an iPhone 4, as well as from professional experience, working with end users who have personal Android devices and are given a corporate iPhone, I can tell you that getting an iPhone after using an Android is like i like being able to breathe again. Even for those of us that are technical, what you don’t realize until you have it in your hands, is having a device that does not require constant “tinkering” is awesome.

When iPhone first came out I was a strong Blackberry supporter. It did what I needed it to do and nothing more. Sure, I looked at my wife’s first iPhone 3G with envy that I couldn’t easily browse the internet and get the apps she was downloading, and that I would like my music and email and internet on the same device, but hey, I had a physical keyboard.

Then good Android devices started being released and I made the switch to Android. This was the next logical step for me, a self-proclaimed gadget enthusiast. At the time, I was opposed to Apple’s closed environment and if I was going to use a smart phone, I would own one that would allow me to utilize the device in any way I wanted to, which ended up translating into changing the look and feel of the phone every week or so. This, though, got cumbersome, but I did not realize that at the time.

Last September I started using my first iPhone, only because I had to support them for my end users and we were making the decision to switch from Blackberry to iPhones. After a couple days of using it, I realized that I no longer wanted a phone that i could (had to) “mess with”. I have since started using an iPhone 4s and couldn’t be happier with my device.

Sure there are things that I miss about the Android operating system, but I no longer read about the newest Android device and want it. In fact, as Jonathan eluded to in his second tweet, I would be “pissed off” if I had to use an Android as my primary device now.

It’s a joke. Probably not a good one, but a joke nonetheless.

I would be reviewing the Headline’s and Tweets of those who work at Fox 8 a little closer if I were them. I know At Last is in quotes, but I think a comma would be appropriate in there somewhere as well.

Needless to say, I am excited by the small things that I see in this team, and figured we were a couple years away, but on the right path. Maybe it is too optimistic to think about this year, but are the Cavs closer to contending than I thought they were?

First, discontinue manufacturing on all models except one which does not have a keyboard. Second, license your software out to HTC and Samsung, whom both are focused on Android and are also building hardware for Microsoft, so you would third in line for quality phone hardware.

Bad idea RIM.

This is just a little upload test.

The first tale was told to me by a coworker. He was in a stall when someone took the stall next him and did his business. The next sounds my coworker heard were flush, pause, splashing, then the guy left the stall, washed his hands and left. What was not heard was the toilet paper roll. At least he washed his hands….

In the afternoon, I was getting ready to leave but needed to make a stop first. My entrance was impeded by a woman who was holding the men’s room door open and yelling into the bathroom to someone. I decided to wait it out around the corner from them and heard her yelling things like “you are a mess” and “get your ass out of there then”. The voice from inside the bathroom was not young, as one might expect and wasn’t loud enough to be understood, except for one statement I did hear, which was “I’m sorry, I’m really nervous right now”.

I waited until they left and used the restroom. As I left, I passed the two people in the hallway and they appeard lost. They asked me where the mens room is. I pointed it out, which was where they came from, and was thanked. The last thing the guy said to me was “nice beard”.

I really enjoy playing, for reasons that all are not just because of the money that can be won.  The competitive side of me is fueled with each hand that is played.  It’s hands like this one that make me crazy though.

After playing for three hours, we have just passed the money bubble and the following hand happens.  Sick is the only word to describe the feeling, the call, the whole hand.  Take a peek for yourself.

Write a Book

My mastery of the english language my not be good enought to crack the NY Times Bestseller list yet, but I believe it is good enough to write a book. My imagination may not allow me to create worlds and bring them to the reader in a manner that is understandable, but it is decent. Writing a book is not something I think I would be great at, but it is something I would like to do, for me. I would love to tell a story from start to finish that would entertain or effect the reader in such a way to be remembered. That’s all. I even have the plot almost worked out:

“Jim is a normal guy. He has a normal wife, two normal kids, a normal pet and a normal job. Jim’s life is so normal that his last name is even Normal. Jim suffers from delusions of grandeur, however and his delusions are getting worse as of late, unbeknownst to the Normal family. At any time Jim will depict himself saving a stranger’s life, or meeting a secret admirer he didn’t know he had. Jim starts to imagine anything that will allow him to escape the normalcy of his life.

All that changes, however, when Jim is finally in the wrong place at the wrong time, changing everything about the Normal Family for ever…..or does it?”

Apply to Survivor

Those that know me well, know that my favorite reality show has always been Survivor. Out of the 17 seasons the show has aired, I have watched 15. It is rare that the most deserving person on the show each season, wins, but to their own fault. Most of the time there is one contestant that does outlast, outwit, outplay, but they fail to argue that to the jury. In fact, like Sugar did in this last season, they usually try to backtrack and apologize, when they should not. I would like to change that.

I would do whatever it took to get to the final three, then argue that I outlasted, outwitted and outplayed every last member of the jury. I would let the jury know, when asked, that while I enjoyed spending time with them, I needed to vote them off to win a million dollars. Plain and simple. I have hated every answer I have heard to the question “Why did you stab me in the back and vote me off”? My answer would simply be “because I wanted to last longer than you to win the million dollars.” When asked “Why do you deserve to win?” my answer would be “because I outwitted, outlasted, and outplayed everyone on the jury. I deserve the million because, whether it is the popular choice or not, I decided when and who to vote off.”

I know I can make it that far in the game, and make the correct argument to win the game of Survivor. I cannot explain, however, why I have yet to make a video to submit to CBS to apply to be on the show.

While there are more items that I have not begun to tackle to this point in my life, I will start with these. These are the two things I would like to start doing now. I’ll continue this topic another day.
